WELCOME to Alley Center for the BlindWelcome to Alley Center for the BlindAlley Center for the Blind, a division of Susquehanna Association for the Blind and Vision Impaired, a Lancaster-based non-profit, offers vision rehabilitation, education and employment for the blind and vision impaired in Lebanon County.SABVI has been serving the Lebanon County community since 1997. In 2007, Dr. Albert Alley, one of Lebanon County's most prominent and philanthropic ophthalmologists, partnered with SABVI to fulfill his desire to see that the blind and vision impaired residents of Lebanon County are given every opportunity to lead independent lives. In keeping, he and his family made a generous contribution towards the construction of Alley Center for the Blind which opened in 2008. Alley Center for the Blind is convenient to COLT public transportation, and the facility itself has been constructed using green technology. From natural lighting and recycled materials to a unique, energy-efficient, heating system, the building is in keeping with SABVI's desire to be as energy-conscious as possible so that more of the Association's donated dollars can be used to fund services to the community instead of to pay utility bills. Located in the Lebanon Rails Business Park (behind the Lebanon Valley Mall) our address is 2550 Hanford Drive, Lebanon, PA 17046. We are open Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM. You may reach us by dialing 717-274-6711 or via the web at www.alleycenter.org. Susquehanna Association for the Blind and Vision Impaired, Alley Center for the Blind's parent organization, has been helping restore autonomy and independence to the lives of Pennsylvania residents who are blind and vision impaired for more than eighty years. From education and prevention to rehabilitation and employment, the Association takes a comprehensive approach to services. Through generous donations from area residents and the support of businesses throughout the community, the Association, through the Susquehanna Foundation for the Blind, strives to help the blind and vision impaired take back their independence and improve their lives!
